The series of activities for promoting and implementing the national regulations on sports product international trade were recently held in Jinjiang, Fujian Province. The event was themed "Promoting the Green New Standards to Help Enterprises Break Through and Enter the Overseas Market", focusing on interpreting the international green regulations and technical trade barriers, and providing precise support for sports product enterprises to expand their overseas markets.
This event is jointly organized by General Technology China Textile Science Research Institute Co., Ltd., the Standardization and Law Enforcement Center of the General Administration of Customs, and Quanzhou Customs. It is hosted by Jinjiang Municipal Bureau of Commerce and the Quanzhou Customs Office in Jinjiang.
Ma Yongmei, the Party Secretary and General Manager of the China Textile Research Institute, stated that Jinjiang is an important gathering place for the sports goods industry across the country. The sports goods export industry in Jinjiang has a solid foundation. Facing increasingly strict international trade rules and green environmental protection entry requirements, the demand for compliant development of the industry going global has become increasingly urgent.
At the event site, Zheng Xiaojia, the director of the base operation and the vice president of Haixi Branch, presented and summarized the achievements of the establishment of the research and evaluation base for technical trade measures of sports products in Jinjiang. This base has continuously built a collaborative service platform and regularly carried out tasks such as standard dissemination, risk warning, and technical assistance. A ceremony for awarding the first information collection points was also held on the spot, bringing together professional forces from various sources to strengthen the support system for foreign trade services.
During the presentation session, several industry experts provided in-depth explanations on key concerns of enterprises regarding export, such as foreign trade compliance management, international green standards, product quality and safety, PFAS control, bisphenol substance restrictions, and international testing standards for textiles. By combining the current industry situation and typical cases, they explained the practical paths for compliant production and risk prevention, guiding enterprises to accelerate green production transformation and align with international high-end quality standards.
A special seminar was held concurrently with the event. Industry experts reviewed the recent international trade notifications and evaluations, focusing on the difficulties and pain points in industry exports, and jointly discussed practical measures to deal with new trade regulations and mitigate foreign trade risks.
