From January to June, the cumulative import value of textiles and garments was 9.25 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 10.5%. Among them, textile imports were 4.75 billion US dollars, a decrease of 13.3%, and clothing imports were 4.5 billion US dollars, a decrease of 7.4%. With imports decreasing and inventories falling, the price of cotton has continued to rise

In June, China imported 27,000 tons of cotton, a year-on-year decrease of 82.1% and a month-on-month decrease of 20.4%. The monthly import volume reached the lowest level in 20 years. The number of major source countries decreased significantly both year-on-year and month-on-month. Among them, Brazil imported 6,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 87.4% and a month-on-month decrease of 57.4%.
