Recently, the Argentine Customs Officers' Union SUPARA, which represents customs employees, announced a series of strike actions in response to the policy adjustments implemented by the Argentine government for customs department employees. This strike is expected to cause the customs clearance of goods at Argentina's major ports and airports to come to a standstill, dealing a major blow to the country's international trade.

Kuehne+Nagel updated and issued a warning on its official website: The strike will cause delays in all import and export goods at the port.

The strike is scheduled for 10:00 to 14:00 on Thursday and Friday, February 20th and 21st, and 10:00 to 16:00 on Thursday and Friday, February 27th and 28th local time.

Customs officers expressed disappointment over many salary cuts and measures that affected their functions.

According to the trade union's press release, the government's "lack of a satisfactory response" led to the decision to implement gradual measures until specific solutions were achieved.
