In 2025, China's port industry delivered a high-quality development report card. The country's ports collectively handled 1.834 billion tons of cargo, with a year-on-year growth of 4.2%; and processed 350 million TEUs of containers, with a year-on-year growth of 6.8%. Both growth rates exceeded the initial expectations, demonstrating strong development resilience. As the core hub for the import and export trade of the textile industry, the stable and efficient upgrading of ports has ensured the smooth operation of the textile industry's supply chain and demand chain. It precisely meets the development needs of the textile industry's "coordinated domestic and foreign trade and structural upgrading", and has become an important supporting force for the textile industry's foreign trade to withstand market fluctuations and achieve high-quality development.

The domestic and foreign trade at the port have both shown positive growth, adapting to the differentiated structure of the textile export industry.

In 2025, the domestic and foreign trade businesses of China's ports will both show positive growth. The volume of cargo and container throughput will steadily increase, closely aligning with the development trend of the textile industry's imports and exports. It will precisely meet the transportation demands for textile yarns, fabrics, clothing, and textile machinery products, providing solid logistics support for the textile trade to cope with market challenges.

In terms of cargo throughput, the volume of domestic and foreign trade cargo increased by 4.0% and 4.7% respectively year-on-year. The growth momentum of foreign trade was slightly stronger. This trend corresponded with the differentiation of the import and export structure in the textile industry - in 2025, China's cumulative exports of textiles reached 142.59 billion US dollars, with a slight year-on-year increase of 0.5%. The export of clothing faced pressure but still demonstrated overall resilience. The growth of port foreign trade cargo throughput effectively ensured the smooth circulation of textile raw materials imports and finished product exports, especially facilitating the cross-border transportation of intermediate products such as yarn and fabrics.

In the field of container handling, the container throughput for domestic and foreign trade increased by 2.4% and 9.8% respectively year-on-year. The demand for foreign trade containers was particularly strong. This is highly compatible with the market layout of the textile export trade. By 2025, the proportion of China's textile and clothing exports to the countries participating in the "Belt and Road" initiative will rise to 57%, and exports to the European Union and Japan will continue to grow. A large number of textile products and textile machinery equipment are exported through containers. The rapid growth of foreign trade containers at ports has opened up logistics channels for textile enterprises to expand into diversified markets.
